Scutra is the first restaurant of chef Didier Baugniet and his wife and partner Cesidia Cedrone. After working with designer Carrie Smith of Darlow Christ Architects to renovate the space, Didier and Cesidia opened Scutra's doors in August 2002 and added a wine list in October 2002. The frequently changing menu and daily specials reflect their commitment to using fresh and local ingredients.
The friendly waitstaff help create a truly welcoming atmosphere. You can often find Cesidia overseeing the dining room and Didier coming in from the kitchen to talk to happy diners. "We want to be a place where people can come for everyday meals," says Didier. "It is quality food that is cared for." The care and attention that each dish receives has made the restaurant a favorite destination for patrons from all around the Boston area.
