Ideal Cheese was started over 56 years ago as a butter and egg company in New York City. It has since evolved into a gourmet cheese and specialty products store, which has a retail shop in midtown on the east side of Manhattan (922 First Ave near 52nd St). We also provide the finest gourmet cheese to restaurants and hotels all over the country and operates one of the largest cheese marketplaces on the internet that ships to customers all over the United States. Our cheese selection features over 250 cheeses from 17 countries! In June of 2012 Ideal Cheese opened up its first satellite shop on  Main Street in Huntington Village on Long Island and quickly established a loyal customer base, while it resided in the back of the Crushed Olive.  Seeing an opportunity when a restaurant space opened up in the Village, Ideal Cheese decided to expand and open up an eclectic Cheese and Wine Cafe featuring a menu based on the world class cheeses we sell in our stores. Within this establishment you are taken to a typical Cafe experience you might have in the heart of Paris.
