The first Ground Round Grill & Bar was built in 1969, and our brand has endured with over 40 years of successful operation. As a founding brand and pioneer in casual dining, Ground Round has adapted and evolved its menu and offerings to fit the changing needs of our guests and their lifestyles. The Ground Round Grill & Bar, with its two-room concept, provides an atmosphere and menu that is inviting to families and fun for adults too. We offer a substantial broad-based menu with a high quality/good value relationship for our guests. In addition we are one of the few family oriented restaurants where adults can enjoy full liquor service with their meals. Our lounge is a casual alternative where adults can relax, meet friends, watch the game, and enjoy the same full service menu. Today and since 2004, our brand is owned by and led by our franchise owners under the company name of Independent Owners Cooperative, LLC (IOC). The experience of these dedicated franchisees and owners of our brand continue to upgrade the quality and taste profiles of our Ground Round menu and product offerings, with a deep commitment to provide the best dining experience possible. Ground Round IOC operates more than 24 restaurants in 11 states spread across the Midwest and Northeast areas of the United States.
