Raised in a good old fashion diner founded by grandparents who came to America from Greece in 1939, Chris Skodras learned the restaurant business firsthand from his grandfather and father. From the age of six, Chris spent many hours in the restaurant being mentored by family. The restaurant was the center of his life. As a child, he swept the parking lot and washed dishes for dimes to play the pinball machine, and by the age of 15, he was the short order grill cook. Chris learned the value of hard work and family traditions, and he applied his vast knowledge to open the first Eggs Up Grill with his wife Pat in 1987.
