CASA MONO and its sister restaurant, BAR JAMON are located next to each other on Irving Place and 17th Street, just east of Union Square. Awarded two stars from The New York Times shortly after its opening and a Michelin Star in 2009, CASA MONO features raciones of Catalan specialties and serves dishes from all corners of the Iberian Peninsula. Executive Chef Andy Nusser, who lived in the fishing village of Cadaqués, along Spain's Costa Brava, has taken classic dishes and added his own affinity for adventurous proteins like sweetbreads, cockscombs, and pig's feet. Daring and exploratory, inventive and robust, Nusser's dishes are a tribute to his adoptive cuisine.
