The Burger Stand got its startup in an Irish pub kitchen in February 2009. Since relocating to the Casbah at 803 Massachusetts and occupying one of the most interesting buildings downtown, the Burger Stand has expanded its menu to include gourmet “hawt doggz” & a larger vegetarian menu. Owned by Robert & Molly Krause and Simon & Codi Bates, The Burger Stand at the Casbah’s food is unique, yet familiar, using quality ingredients from nearby. Our bar menu specializes in classic, American cocktails. We’ve got our bases covered and know you’ll find something you’ll love! On September 8th, 2011, The Burger Stand expanded to a second location in Topeka - the Capitol City of Kansas! Located near Washburn University at 1601 SW Lane St., the newer Burger Stand features the same gourmet burgers and beers that Lawrence has come to love! The Topeka location features outdoor patio seating, seating for nearly 150 and two fully stocked bars - one of which is in the back dining area referred to as "The Pong Bar!" The Pong Bar offers 2 Ping Pong Tables, 2 Pool Tables, 1 Foosball Table, a pinball machine and digital bar gaming! The area is also available for private rental!
